who lived in the bustling city of Bristol.

Joel liked to rush around and run about,

And skid and slide, to jump on things and shout.

Sometimes Joel became a dinosaur,

His tail would swish and his mouth would roar.

But today he had become an astronauts rocket,

Flying through the stars to the universe’s pocket.

Bright planets and moons zipped by and wooshed past,

In red and green blurs as he was going so fast.

Then he looked left at a bright and blazing sun,

It was very very hot and then suddenly it was gone.

To Joels right as he flew was a big black hole,

So he swerved straight for it, towards his goal.

Time and space became stretched, elasticated and thin,

light was too bright and then way too dim.

The hole became a shoot, like a tunnelly slide,

He slid straight through the middle and popped out the other side.

Now Joel the rocket was floating, suspended in mid air,

His engines all tired, floating down to Dino lair.

The trees were very tall, and the sky was opal blue,

Joel felt very small, but he knew just what to do.

He became a T-Rex, big and strong and hungry,

He went hurling through the jungle, to find a tasty sundry.

But as Joel the T-Rex jumped upon his prey,

Something flew out the sky that was very hard and grey.

Meteorits were falling all around him so he roared,

But still they kept on coming, crashing on the jungle floor.

The dinosaurs looked worried, would this be the end?

But Joel the T-Rex knew better and shouted “Lets pretend!

That all our tails are rackets, and the meteorites tennis balls.

“I bet I’ll bat mine furthest”, was his inspiring call.

All the dinos took the challenge, swinging their tails as bats,

And the meteorites bounced back to space, except the soggy ones which went splatt.

And all of Dinoland was saved, by Joel the great pretender,

But now his tummy was rumbling, it’s hungry work being planet defender.

So Joel transformed again into the Tardis of Doctor Who,

And landed right back at his house as his Mum called “Bonjoir Roshan. Salut!”
